Bar lines for tongue drum notation upper stave
Hello colleagues,
I make a music sheet for the tongue drum and I need to add tongue numbers and above each note. I can do it with the musescore. But I don't know how to make the bar lines for this upper stave (like in the attached example, which was made in the Finale software).
Will appreciate any help or advice! :)
Thanks!

Did you check the Master palette for the symbol?

Hey, thanks for your reply!
The symbols from the "Barlines" palette don't work above the stave - they can only replace the existing barline.
Maybe there are any other options? Or, by the way, there is a possibility to create my custom symbol and assign it to any palette?

Don't use the Barlines palette - use the Symbols palette. There you will find all the symbols in their "raw" form, which MuseScore can then place without respect to their normal musical meaning.

Dear Marc, thanks for your reply! I didn't find any palette called "Symbols". If you mean taking e.g. a symbol from the "Dynamics" palette (or from any other), then there are no suitable symbol for ''barline'', unfortunately.
Maybe there is a possibility to create my custom symbol and add it to some palette?

It's the last item in the Master palette mentioned above (access the Master palette from the View menu). It contains literally thousands of musical symbols that can be added anywhere in your score, including barliens that can be placed however you like.

Found it, thanks! It works, but the only problem is that when copying this symbol to the next bar it loses it's position a bit. Is there a possibility to check the symbol's position as numbers in dimension (like coordinates x/y)?

Yes, see the Appearance section of the Properties panel. You can set the position precisely there.

Will do, thank you so much, Marc!
