Referencing a different soundfont in Instruments XML
I am trying to get my custom instrument to reference my custom soundfont in the instruments.xml file to load it by default. The instrument loads up from the new score settings and has all of the buttons and staff properties working flawlessly. I just can't seem to find ANY answers as to a proper tag to use a different soundfont from the default MS Basic.sf3 file.
I mean the tag is pretty self explanatory when choosing the bank and program numbers. But what is it that I'm missing to tell it which file it needs to read from? The soundfont works just fine too if I load it manually after the fact from the mixer, but nobody has time for that nonsense lol. Please help...thank you

There's no way to reference a soundfont in instruments.xml, only banks and program numbers

Yeah I just figured that this morning which is REALLY unfortunate. I noticed that when installing the muse-sound libraries, they automatically populate the MS Basic soundfont file with them and a specific bank/program value, kind of like my option B. HOWEVER, this is no good for other users, but that's fine.
Maybe one day they will allow us to install a separate custom instrument xml that references it's own soundfont file
