When Writing for TAB, parentheses are not working on notes.
There is a very common and nerve wracking issue when writting TAB for instruments, and that is when trying to use parentheses "()" on notes. The parentheses work on normal music but for some reason not on the TAB music.
P.S I need the parentheses for my music arrangement

Indeed, what worked with Version 3 (either via the Noteheads or in Accidentals/More palettes) fails with V4. A regression you should point out on Github: https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues
As a workaround, enter parentheses as plain text: select the wished note -> type Ctrl/Cmd + T, and on your alphanumeric keyboard: "(" + 2 Spaces + ")".
Result:
It's a little more time-consuming, as you then have to position them correctly. This being the case, you can then place this symbol (the two parentheses remain attached) in a palette for reuse.
If not, under what circumstances do you need these parentheses? Which you'll really need to specify on Github, as developers need to understand what it's used for. The fact that it's a regression is already a good argument, but not necessarily a decisive one...
Possibly, see if any use cases are covered in Format / Style / Tablature / "Tied fret marks" and "Parentheses indicating ties"

I was able to check. It turns out that the regression goes back to version 4.4.0.
It works as expected with version 4.3.2
