Lock score mode

Hello, I would like to see a new score entry mode added to the software.
The current problem is that every time I enter notes via keyboard, the software automatically changes the mode into the note input mode, where my cursor is also set to enter notes. Then, I need to press N every time I want to do editing on my score, plus, sometimes I forget, and there are just so many Ctrl+Z to do.
I would really like to make my keyboard for note entering, and my cursor to do more detailed editing or engraving, for example, select a specific note and add an accent to it. I am aware that I can use my keyboard to select other notes, but using a cursor is just so much more efficient for users like me.
Therefore, I would like to request a new "Lock Score Mode" which keeps the keyboard for note entry, and the cursor for detail editing or engraving.
