Music notes placed in staves incorrectly

I am currently working on a new composition. The problem is, some music notes I used are automatically placed in some staves incorrectly. An eighth rest is also placed near a few whole notes, even when it's not needed. A quarter rest is also present every time I add a dotted half note. Is there any way I could have this fixed?

For the first two, make sure you are in Step Time note input mode and not Insert mode. For the last one, if this was an empty 4/4 measure and you entered a dotted half note on beat one, this is correct
