Background Transparency/Overlay

• Jan 13, 2025 - 01:05

So Musescore is working just fine on my laptop monitor, but when I drag it over to my external one it it basically makes a photoshop overlay layer style on itself and makes itself basically unusable unless I have a fully black background, and even then using the top taskbar options is impossible because it overlays itself too. Any fix for this at all? Attached image is musescore over this tab that I am using to type this.

I have this issue also, being very new to Musescore. On my main monitor (landscape), it has the black background and everything is normal. When I drag the score to my vertical monitor over the piano, the app is transparent and even the score becomes ghostly and unreadable towards the bottom of the screen!?! All other apps working fine.

I switched from Dark Mode to Light Mode, and it solved the transparency, but there is still a ghostly effect on the bottom part of the screen, and a strange uneven watermark effect going over the whole screen. Very odd. Again, absolutely fine in landscape mode.

Unfortunately that solution does not help for the transparency thing for me. Guess the only way I can use Musescore is just unplugging my laptop from everything and using it on the bed or something. New update that I just installed does not help either.

Thanks for letting me know I'm not the only one experiencing this, and hopefully we can get a fix for it soon as I never had this problem before.
