Cant login on school Mac

The IT department at my school have kindly installed the Musescore App on one of their school Apple MACs - the installation worked but it fails when i try to login. They have added the website to their firewall so it shouldn't be blocked. I want to carry on working on my music at school but cant get into my account. I tried a password reset as well and I still cant login.
