Playback simply doesn't work [4.2.1]

Hello everyone, I'm having an issue with the latest version of MuseScore (4.2.1 at the time of writing this). When I press the space bar or click on the start playback button, the blue bar gets stuck at the very beginning of the score. Additionally, when I place a note or a chord, no sounds that used to play are audible. I've tried checking I/O devices and reinstalling the software, but it was of no help. I didn't change any preferences before this, and this problem occurred from one day to the next. That's why I can't reproduce the steps; I simply saved my project and turned off my PC.

Does anyone know how to solve this? Thx

Thank you for the response, but the issue still persists. I went to Help >> Revert to factory settings and then created a new score. I have no clue what might cause this. I'll try to delete all musescore folders in C:\Program Files and then install it again, because last time I did, I uninstalled it through Windows settings.
