"Let Ring" does not allow notes to ring until the end of the let ring line - notes are stopped after approx 1 second.

Create a sequence of notes, select the notes, add a let ring (Lines palette) to the notes.
The notes are extended, but not for very long. Each note is allowed to ring for a short time, but then stopped.
By the end of the let ring line, you only hear the last note ringing, all the others have stopped.

This is problematic when writing guitar parts that call for open strings to ring on through a sequence.
