numerical keyboard shortcuts for note lengh not working

When pressing the numerical keyboard , note lengh shortcuts (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) for note input won't work.
Working on a windows 10 PC, my numerical keyboard is functioning normally in other softwares, but strangely not in Musescore 4.
I had french language installed by default, tried to switch to english to see if it would solve the problem, but it didn't work either...
