In MS 2.x, the "Vertical frame top margin" setting (General > Style > Page) didn't work. In MS 3.x it does work. The result is that imported files have an extra 7sp added above the frames. Could this extra space be removed automatically on import?

To be clear - in 2.x, it was applied to vertical frames but not text frames. In 3.0 it's both. Arguably there could be a new style setting for this, but either way, we need to deal with compatibility. I see two valid ways to go:

  • add the new style setting, default to 0 for imported scores, 7sp for new scores
  • continue using the same style setting for both frame types, but automatically subtract the value of that setting from the top gap on text frames for imported scores
