Sound Flags don't display playback options
When adding a sound flag on any instrument, the sound icon disappears when I try to click on it. It reappears if I select the text or anything else on the score (even blank space).
I've tried different scores, and nothing.

I hope you don't mind me hijacking your thread, but I have the some problem.
I've asked about this before but didn't get any respones at all.
It works on a fresh install and then all of a sudden it stops.
I've also tried the Nightly Builds with the same result.
OS: macOS 14.6,
Mackbook Air M2
MuseScore Studio version (64-bit): 4.3.2-241630832, revision: 2b46f2
Muse sampler: 0.100.1
Perhaps this is specific to MacOS? [EDIT] Three separate reports: for MacOS 14.2, 14.3 and 14.6.
But the Sound Flag feature works fine for me on Windows 10 with MuseScore Studio 4.3.2 revision 22b46f2.

No, I don’t think it’s specific to Mac Os.
I had the same problem with Win 11.
Until today, I had the same problem, here with Windows 10 (64 bits).
But I just stumbled upon a little workaround that might also work for others (until it eventually gets fixed by the marvelous MuseScore Team!).
When I enter staff text (Ctrl-T), the speaker icon (black on white) appears on the left, and if I click on this icon, it disappears... but it only disappears when I release the mouse button. And it reappears when I click on the text again; and if, while still holding the mouse on the text, I nudge it a bit, the text moves around as expected. Now, if I click-hold this time on the speaker icon and move it a tiny bit (in this case, the text doesn't move; it's the whole page that moves), and only then release the mouse button, then the speaker icon remains, and I just need to click on it again to now get a white speaker icon in a blue circle to appear together with the expected dialogue to modify the sound or change playing technique. I can then choose my sound flag. But I need to re-nudge the speaker icon every time I want to modify the sound flag.
Hope this might help some!
How can I go about reporting this funny bug that seems to affect only a few people?

A few minutes after posting, yesterday, I also stumbled upon another discussion where someone had an even easier workaround (posted just an hour before mine !!!).
I quote him/her : "I find out that every time you grab and move the page with your mouse, like scrolling in whatever direction, the next time you click the audio icon it will work"
And, a third, even easier solution I discovered last night, is to simply follow the MuseScore handbook ;-): https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/sound-flags. As per the "Keyboard navigation" section, at the bottom of the page, after selecting the text, use the 5th step : Press Alt+Left (Mac: Opt+Left) to open the popup !!!
That's all !!
